Whenever we go shopping for food, we want to make sure we're getting the best deal possible. We've been in many a deli whose prices are OK and in a couple of specialty food stores whose prices are ridiculous. Luckily, we discovered a Jack's 99¢ Store a couple blocks away...They have numerous floors and the absolute best deals possible on everything, even food. We were skeptical at the quality of the food (is it factory-rejected food?), but were pleasantly surprised. They have fresh, handmade bread from local bakeries and the pitas are the best I've ever had. Something things are more than 99¢ and some things are less than 99¢. Regardless, the amount of food you can get for less than $20 is amazing.
Also, it's been snowing for the past couple of days and, as a result of some steam vents below our window, the view from our room is not so great anymore...
